This is an exciting time to join the well established, friendly team who support 12 individuals with complex needs, who live in a residential care home in Brislington, Bristol. The team are reviewing the support they provide the individuals to help them achieve even greater independence and quality of life. You’ll have a passion for learning, fresh ideas and will share our values to help achieve a significant and positive impact on the people you’ll support.
You’ll work closely with the manager, and have a real say in how the support develops. The individuals at the home have high support needs, and you’ll support them in all aspects of daily living. This will include supporting with everyday tasks, for example cooking, cleaning and supporting with full personal care needs, as well as with eating, drinking and with mobility. If you’re new to social care, we will support you gain the nationally recognised Care Certificate. If you have experience as a care assistant or care worker in a care home, you’ll discover we provide plenty of on-going training, support to achieve relevant qualifications and career progression. You’ll need good communication skills and a positive, patient approach. Respectful of people’s differences, you can build professional relationships and have a flexible approach. You can work 24/7 shifts including weekends and evenings / nights. We have full or part time or waking nights only avalible. A full driving licence is not required in this location.

The salary for this role is £17,794 - £18,492 pa pro rata (£9.10 - £9.46 per hour), dependent on qualifications & experience.
You have the option of working additional hours or sleep-ins in a range of services - paid at £50-£70 extra per sleep-in.
