Overview

Join the in-house recruitment team at learning disability charity Brandon Trust as an administrator; its a busy and varied role in a supportive team. As a recruitment administrator you'll be part of a team providing comprehensive, high quality administrative support for the operational and support service teams. 

 

Brandon exists to enable children, young people and adults with a learning disability, autism or both, to live life in the way they choose. We provide high-quality, individualised support to around 1,600 people, have a staff team of over 2,000 and operate across southern England and London.

 

We are looking for an administrator to join us for between 30 and 37.5 hours per week, over 5 days ideally; we're happy to discuss some flexibility around this. We operate a flexible hybrid working model and so you'll work from home and also at times in our Patchway (Bristol) office. The starting salary is £17,738 pa pro rata rising to £18,838 pa pro rata once you have completed the necessary training and can manage your own workload to the required standard. This is a temporary contract for up to six months.

About the role

Reporting to the recruitment services manager and supporting area recruiters, your primary focus will be to process end-to-end post-offer employment clearances for successful candidates. You’ll maintain electronic recruitment files and our applicant tracking system (ATS) and ensure candidate and manager queries are responded to in a professional and timely manner.

 

You’ll have lots of interaction with candidates, recruitment managers and support services staff. You’ll develop a good understanding of our recruitment processes and apply those in a consistent manner.  From time-to-time you’ll assist in organising interviews, as well as supporting recruitment events and assessment days.

 

This is a varied and fast-paced job so you must be able to respond to conflicting, changing and multiple priorities and keep candidates, hiring managers and recruitment specialists up-to-date. 

About you

Highly organised, proactive and flexible, you’re able to work as part of a busy team and independently. You'll have some experience as an administrator and have excellent oral and written communication skills. Experience of working with high volumes and tight deadlines is essential.

 

You have a detailed understanding of the Microsoft Office Suite, and Maths and English qualifications at GCSE Level (grade A-C) (or equivalent) or will be able to demonstrate competence at this level through assessment.

 

Knowledge of relevant employment legislation and experience of using an applicant tracking system is desitrable but not essential. Relevant experience in the social care/not-for-profit sector, whilst an advantage, is not essential.
